On March 18, the PEPR Cloud initiative took part in the event The State in the Cloud<\/em>, organized by the Interministerial Directorate for Digital Affairs (DINUM).<\/strong> This day marked a key milestone for the future of public cloud infrastructure in France and across Europe.<\/em><\/em><\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Since the adoption of the cloud doctrine in 2021, the French government has made cloud computing a prerequisite for all new digital projects, aiming to accelerate digital transformation while ensuring cybersecurity and data protection. This event provided an opportunity to assess cloud adoption, promote its use, and bring together members of the public sector cloud community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the speakers, Christian Perez<\/strong>, research director at Inria, presented SLICES<\/strong><\/em>, a European research infrastructure dedicated to large-scale experimentation focused on network protocols, radio technologies, services, data collection, parallel and distributed computing \u2014 and in particular, cloud and edge computing architectures and services. A major initiative in digital sciences, SLICES aims to create a research platform for testing digital solutions. Supported by the PEPR Cloud<\/em> and Future Networks<\/em> programs, SLICES-FR<\/em> is the French node of this infrastructure.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
