The Inria Quadrant Programme (PIQ) is an ambitious initiative to support and fund high-risk, high-impact digital research projects. Support for Atypical Projects<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

PIQ is a support and funding programme for scientists with original digital research projects. Ces projets, souvent jug\u00e9s trop risqu\u00e9s pour obtenir un financement traditionnel, b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient d’un soutien adapt\u00e9 \u00e0 leur nature exploratoire. The aim is to support scientists with breakthrough ideas, enabling them to turn their boldest visions into reality.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

High Impact Projects<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What distinguishes a PIQ project is its high-risk, high-impact potential. For example, a project with only a 10% chance of success, but which, if successful, could revolutionise its field or positively affect a large number of people. PIQ projects are often, but not necessarily, multidisciplinary and address scientific or technical complexities in digital technology.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Who can apply?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme is open to all researchers, teacher-researchers and research engineers from the Higher Education and Research (ESR) sector. If you are in a public institution, PIQ offers you a unique opportunity to develop your exploratory projects. Applications are open on an ongoing basis, so project leaders can submit their applications at any time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to apply?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To apply, all you have to do is write a short application document detailing your project and get in touch with the PIQ Referent for your site. All the details and contacts are available on the programme’s official website: PIQ website<\/a>. The PIQ team and the PIQ Advisors will be happy to answer any questions you may have and help you with your application. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which projects are eligible?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

PIQ funds a wide range of projects, from seed initiatives to more substantial projects, with durations varying from 6 months to 4 years. Projects are eligible on the basis of risk and impact, as well as originality and commitment on the part of the promoter.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
