TRUSTINCloudS at NOMS 2025: A Breakthrough in Cloud Cybersecurity
From May 12 to 16, 2025, the TRUSTINCloudS project took part in the 38th IEEE/IFIP Network Operations and Management Symposium (NOMS 2025) in Honolulu, Hawaii. At this event, the team presented an intention-based network micro-segmentation methodology, entitled “Zone Game”.
This approach automates part of the work of network security architects, facilitating the design of secure network architectures with fine granularity. The methodology developed by TRUSTINCloudS calculates optimal security zones from high-level security requirements, called intentions, and an initial unprotected network architecture. It then integrates security functions to protect inter-zone and intra-zone communications.
To validate this methodology, the team implemented a proof-of-concept framework using Answer Set Programming, a form of declarative logic programming. This approach aims to guarantee the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data, applications and services in Cloud environments.
